WE HELP STUDENTS

As a student, you have a whole different set of responsibilities and are likely still relying on your parents or guardians to support you in some aspects. Therefore, a pregnancy at this point in your life can stop you in your tracks. It’s okay to be unsure of your next steps. The staff at TruChoice understands what you’re going through and can help support you through this journey.

TruChoice offers information and coaching which allows you to talk about your options with one of our trusted staff members. During this appointment, we can answer your questions and address any concerns you may have. Here are some of the questions we can help you answer:

  • How do I tell my parents?
  • What will I do about finishing my education?
  • Does this impact my future?
  • How will I tell my partner?
  • What will my friends think?
  • Can I afford a child?
  • Am I mature enough to become a parent?
  • Is adoption right for me?
  • Would I be eligible for an abortion?

These questions are completely normal. Our staff is here to answer all of these questions and more during a pregnancy options coaching appointment. You do not need a parent or guardian present to make an appointment because no insurance is necessary.  Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us today.

RISK OF STI/STD

If you are sexually active, you could be at risk of having an STI. An STI is a sexually transmitted infection that is passed between partners during sexual contact. For many women and men, STIs don’t show symptoms at first, which means that knowing whether you have one can be difficult. Below, you’ll find links to some resources which can help you assess your risk and be informed.

Red Flag Warning Checklist

Communication is an important aspect of every relationship.  People give and receive love differently, but with a little insight into these differences, we can learn to communicate love well and have better relationships. This is true for all forms of relationship – for dating couples, for children and teenagers, for friends and coworkers, for long-distance relationships, for those brand-new loves and for the romances of life-long partners.

PORNOGRAPHY

Porn is a global, $97 billion industry. In 2019, research showed that three free porn sites were more popular than Wikipedia, eBay, Craigslist, Instagram, Twitter and Netflix. There’s no question, the internet and technology have led to porn being more available and widely accessed than ever before. Decades of studies from major institutions have demonstrated significant impacts of porn consumption for individuals, relationships, and society.
